Can I use Hyper PLA+ on an older, standard-speed 3D printer?

Yes. While optimized for high-speed printing up to 600 mm/s, it prints perfectly on standard FDM printers at slower speeds. You will still benefit from its improved toughness and smooth extrusion process.

How is Hyper PLA+ different from standard PLA?

Hyper PLA+ has a higher melt flow index and a much faster cooling rate. This allows it to extrude rapidly and solidify instantly, preventing detail loss or sagging during high-speed printing while offering better mechanical toughness.

Do I need to increase the nozzle temperature for high-speed printing?

Yes. Printing at higher speeds (e.g., above 300 mm/s) requires higher temperatures to melt the plastic fast enough. We recommend starting at 220℃ and adjusting up to the maximum 230℃ based on your specific print speed.

Will printing at maximum speed reduce the strength of my parts?

Extremely high speeds can slightly reduce the time layers have to bond. However, Hyper PLA+ is specifically formulated to maintain strong layer adhesion even at 600 mm/s, keeping your functional parts durable.

What part cooling fan speed should I use?

We highly recommend setting your part cooling fan to 100% after the first few layers. Rapid cooling is critical when printing at high speeds to ensure clean overhangs and sharp corners without warping.
