Why choose LANDU Carbon Fiber PLA?
  • High Rigidity & Dimensional Stability (Carbon fiber reinforcement improves stiffness, making it ideal for functional parts and engineering prototypes)
  • Premium Matte Surface Finish (Creates a smooth matte texture that reduces visible layer lines and provides a professional appearance)
  • Stable & High-Speed Printing (Delivers low shrinkage, excellent layer adhesion, and smooth extrusion compatible with fast FDM printing workflows)
What happens if I print Carbon Fiber PLA with a standard brass nozzle?

Carbon fiber particles are highly abrasive. If you print PLA-CF with a standard brass nozzle, the inner hole will quickly erode and widen within just a few hundred grams of printing, leading to severe under-extrusion and ruined print quality. A Hardened Steel nozzle is absolutely required.

Can I print this filament with a 0.2mm or 0.4mm nozzle?

We recommend using a 0.4mm nozzle as the absolute minimum, though a 0.6mm Hardened Steel nozzle is highly preferred for PLA-CF. Because the filament contains real carbon fibers, using a 0.2mm nozzle will almost certainly result in constant clogs.

Is Carbon Fiber PLA stronger than regular PLA?

It depends on what you mean by "strong." PLA-CF is significantly stiffer and more rigid than standard PLA, making it highly dimensionally stable under load. However, the carbon fibers make it more brittle, meaning it has lower impact resistance and will snap rather than bend when dropped.

Is Carbon Fiber PLA heat resistant like ABS or Nylon?

No. Despite the carbon fiber reinforcement, the base plastic is still PLA. It retains the low heat deflection temperature of PLA (around 55-60 ℃) and will soften or warp if left in a hot car or exposed to boiling water. It is not suitable for high-temperature environments.

Why are my prints easily splitting at the layers?

The addition of carbon fibers can sometimes disrupt the polymer bonding between layers, reducing layer adhesion compared to pure PLA. To improve this, increase your printing temperature to the higher end of the recommended range (235-240 ℃) and reduce your part cooling fan speed slightly.

Product introduction

LANDU Carbon Fiber PLA Filament combines the easy printing characteristics of PLA with enhanced rigidity and a premium matte carbon fiber appearance.
